Reply period zone
Full Definition

A zone for defining the amount of time which an automated system allows for an external party to respond to a message. For example a request to a customer of a bank asking the customer how he or she would like to settle an incoming transfer. When the reply period is past and no reply has bee received then the system may: 1. Produce a report stating the reply period is expired, and/or, 2. Reverse the transaction(s) which caused the original message to be sent to the customer.
