Nevada Adds Another Tax and Regulatory Burden on Small Biz

By Michael Banner - Aug 7, 2017

Another regulatory burden has befallen all Nevada businesses and business entities registered in Nevada. Since most businesses form entities in Nevada to avoid taxes and regulations from their own home state, Nevada’s new Commerce tax and annual filing requirements are but one more reason to go elsewhere.

August 14th 2017
On this date, EVERY Nevada business and entity (INC or LLC) registered in Nevada will be required to register with the Department of Taxation of Nevada and file Commerce Tax Form (either physically or online.)

The Bad News... If you have a NV entity, you are required to do this!

“Crazy!” you say? Of course it’s crazy. But most state governments are in fact crazy, when it comes to their desire to constantly tax all businesses. Nevada state legislators are no different, viewing businesses as their new slot machines, in hopes of lining their budgets with new tax winnings.

Remember, Nevada corporations (and foreign corporations registered in Nevada) have already been feeling the pain: last year their annual fees had increased from $325 to $650, a 100% escalation. And this tax had already been increased from $125 a few years earlier.

The Good News... You don't have to pay any additional taxes unless your entity has more than $4 million in gross revenues (generated in Nevada).

More Good News... We untangled this process and made it simple for you. Go here for details how to register and get this filed with the state today!

Still More Good News... You don't have to stay in Nevada! Consider moving your INC or LLC Wyoming. It's less expensive, and Wyoming is much more business friendly.
