A recent survey by the National Small Business Association (NSBA) of 14,000 small business owners have found that 64% would vote for George W. Bush for President if the election were held today. 32% would vote for John Kerry and 3% for ?Other Candidate?.

The results are not surprising considering that 53% identify themselves as Republicans vs. 24% Democrat and 15% Independent. More telling is that that 74% identify their political viewpoint as Conservative or leaning towards conservative.

The survey has a margin of error of +-1% and all responses were received via email.

When asked which candidate is better for their small business. 64% again chose President Bush.

President Bush was most favored when considering issues such as ?War on Terrorism? (almost 4 to 1 for President Bush), Taxes (3 to 1), Moral Issues (5 to 1), and Values (4 to 1). John Kerry scored slightly better than President Bush in more social issues such as War in Iraq, Education & Health care.
